JOB DESCRIPTION – CO-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Ronceverte Development Corporation, a Main Street West Virginia program, is a private, not-for-profit organization, affiliated with the State and National Main Street Programs, established to preserve and revitalize the downtown business/historic district of Ronceverte, West Virginia.
The Co-Executive Director is equally responsible for the development, conduct, execution, and documentation of the Ronceverte Main Street Program. This person is one of the principal on-site staff, with the responsibility for coordinating all project activities locally as well as for representing the community regionally and nationally as appropriate. He/she helps oversee daily operations, providing the hands-on involvement critical to a successful program. In addition, he/she should help build the organization as it grows and as its objectives evolve. The position as Co-Executive Director will be in effect until September 15, 2011 at which time he/she will assume the entire responsibilities as Executive Director. He/she must have knowledge and experience in grant writing.
The Co-Executive Directors reports to a board of directors, and will coordinate a comprehensive downtown program, working extensively with volunteer committees, the local business community, service organizations, and City Government as well as County and State Governments.
