“All Things Chocolate” Bake-Off to Benefit Greenbrier Humane Society Lewisburg, WV. (March 26, 2009)
Calling all bakers! Dust off your pans and get out the chocolate, sugar and your imagination! It is time to put your culinary skills to the test. The Lewisburg Chocolate Festival is looking for bakers to join in The 3rd Annual “All Things Chocolate” Bake-Off. The bake off will be held in the lobby of the Lewis Theatre during this year’s Lewisburg Chocolate Festival on Saturday April 18th.
Registration begins at 10 a.m. Bake-off categories include: cakes, pies, miscellaneous, vegan (no dairy products) and Children age 11 and under. All entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges and prizes will be awarded to the top bakers in each category. Judging will take place from noon to 1 p.m.
Not a baker? You can still join in the fun. Immediately following the judging, indulge in all things chocolate from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. You will be able to purchase 4 tasting samples for $1.00. All proceeds from the Bake-Off tasting tickets sales will support the Greenbrier Humane Society.

The third annual Lewisburg Chocolate Festival will take place April 18th with the featured Chocolate Tasting Extravaganza event on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Stroll downtown Lewisburg and indulge in chocolate delicacies of top national chocolate companies, fine regional chocolatiers and the specialties of local pastry chefs! There will also be special chocolate inspired menus at local restaurants on Friday and Saturday nights!

The Lewisburg Chocolate Festival is collaboration between the Lewisburg Downtown Business Association, The North House Museum, Carnegie Hall, Inc., Greenbrier Valley Theatre, the Greenbrier County Public Library and the Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
