HospiceCare of Greenbrier Valley is pleased to announce that the 16th annual HospiceCare 10K Race will be held on Saturday, April 18th at 9:00 am as part of the 3rd Annual Lewisburg Chocolate Festival.
The scenic 10K race begins at the Greenbrier Valley Airport, follows Fairview Road and Arbuckle Lane into downtown Lewisburg finishing in front of the Greenbrier County Courthouse. Registration will take place at The Forum beginning at 7:00 am until 8:15 am. Shuttle transportation from the Forum to the airport will be available to racers.
Pre-registration prior to April 4th will be $12.00 and registration on race day will be $15.00.
HospiceCare is also offering The One Mile Fun Run/Walk on the same day at the same time. It will start and finish in front of the courthouse in downtown Lewisburg. Registration is $10.00.
All proceeds will go to HospiceCare to support its new facility near the Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.

Greenbrier Valley HospiceCare is the recipient of the 2009 Lewisburg Chocolate Festival grant and will be the non-profit partner of the LCF for 2009 and 2010. As a partner, Greenbrier Valley HospiceCare will be the beneficiary of a portion of the profits raised from ticket sales of Chocolate Tastings conducted throughout businesses in downtown Lewisburg.
The third annual Lewisburg Chocolate Festival will take place April 18th with a featured event on Saturday from 11am to 5pm, a Chocolate Tasting Extravaganza. Stroll downtown Lewisburg and indulge in chocolate delicacies of top national chocolate companies, fine regional chocolatiers and the specialties of local pastry chefs! There will also be special chocolate inspired menus at local restaurants on Friday and Saturday nights!
The committee would like to express sincere thanks to CBS 59, Hospice Care and the City of Lewisburg for the great support that has been offered to this event. The Lewisburg Chocolate Festival is collaboration between the Lewisburg Downtown Business Association, The North House Museum, Carnegie Hall, Inc., Greenbrier Valley Theatre, the Greenbrier County Public Library and the Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
