Historic Downtown Lewisburg continues its tradition of First Fridays after Five. This month Lewisburg celebrates the Artistic Talents of Potters, Painters, Crafters and Musicians. First Fridays after Five takes place from 5pm to 9pm on Friday, August 7th. This event is free to the public. Everyone is welcome! Don’t miss the fun!
Washington Street Gallery kicks off a month long show for Virginia potter Dan Finnegan and North Carolina potter Michael Klein. Stop by for the opening reception. 123 West Washington Street, 647-4561.
Cooper Gallery welcomes you to a reception for landscape artist Dave Berry from Morgantown. Dave describes his work as “Intersections … Visions of the Unadorned Landscape.” Meet Dave, view his work and enjoy music by Leah Trent with her Celtic Harp. 122 East Washington Street, 645-6439.
Harmony Ridge Gallery is excited to introduce Ed Jett, creator of a unique series of bird houses. Each one is made of salvaged materials and incorporates a piece of local history with wood from the original 1915 Cass Grade School. 209 West Washington Street, 645-4333.

Here are a few upcoming events for the Greenbrier Valley area.
CMA Rolls into the Greenbrier Valley
The Greenbrier County Convention and Visitors Bureau is excited to welcome the attendees of the Christian Motorcycle Association’s 2009 Eastern National Rally to the Greenbrier Valley.
The group of 2,000+ cyclists will be at the State Fair Event Center starting today, Tuesday, July 21 through Saturday, July 25. During their stay, attendees will participate in group rides, hear from National Evangelists and the Run for the Son Ministry Partners as well as enjoy all of the wonderful assets of the Greenbrier Valley.
On Saturday, CMA is offering support to local organizations by sponsoring a Supply Drive for the Family Refuge Center and a fundraiser for the Greenbrier County 4-H Teen Leaders during their Bike Games.
Please welcome these individuals to our community and let them know how excited we are to have them here!
Special Saturday Events
Please note that the CMA Parade will take place on Saturday, July 25 at 2:00pm traveling into Lewisburg on Highway 219 to Holt Lane, west on Washington Street and back down 219 to the fairgrounds. The parade will be followed by the event’s Bike Games that will take place on the west side of the pedestrian bridge on the fairgrounds.
